  • Can I broadcast to multiple destinations with Lightstream?
    While Lightstream doesn’t natively allow broadcasting to multiple destinations with our standalone Studio product, we do have an existing workaround to make it possible for our streamers!   • How do I add another Twitch/YouTube/Facebook account?
    To add a new streaming account, click on the cog icon at the top right of the Lightstream editor to access the Stream Settings menu. Once in this menu you'll see the options to add any new accounts at the bottom of the menuSome readers
  • Can I Stream With a Chromebook using Lightstream?
    Although Chromebooks are often machines with lower specifications, we do offer support for simpler streams from most models. If your Chromebook meets our system requirements, you should see no issues using Lightstream. NOTE: We strongly suggest using Ethernet to wire your device directlySome readers
  • Can I stream from my phone/tablet?
    While we don't allow for smartphones or mobile devices to be added for streaming, we do offer a mobile remote where you can start/stop your stream as well as change scenes from your iphone or android device!   • Does Lightstream support chroma key?
    Unfortunately our chroma key option is currently disabled while we make a few improvements to the feature overall. It will be returning in an upcoming update.   • How do I enable quick scene switch?
    Quick scene switch allows you to simply click your scenes to switch to them immediately without the need to hit Send to Live each time you wish to switch scenes.   • How do I access the free Lightstream overlays?
    You can find the complimentary Lightstream overlays by clicking on the Add Asset button and then clicking on Image.   • Does Lightstream also record my broadcasts?
    Lightstream does not currently allow for recording of your streams, but will be introducing this feature along with cloud backup in the future. For the time being, all platforms that Lightstream allows you to broadcast to do offer downloads for all past broadcasts. Twitch YouTube Facebook downloads are available on the video post that's left on your timeline.Few readers

  • Can I use a DSLR camera or Go Pro while streaming?
    To utilize a DSLR without a capture card inside of Lightstream, you can install SparkoCam in order to add certain models of Canon and Nikon DSLR's to your broadcast. If you'd prefer a more integrated solution we recommend the Elgato Cam Link to capture any of their supported DSLR's or GoPro's.Few readers
  • Can I add my mic without a webcam?
    No webcams are currently needed in order to add your microphone to your Lightstream project! Simply click the green Add Layer button, select Audio Source, and then select the appropriate microphone that you'd like to add in order to get your voice added to the stream.   • How do I change my stream resolution?
    You can find the option to change your stream's frame rate and resolution by clicking into your project settings at the top left of your Lightstream project.   • How can I mute my mic or set push to talk?
    While Lightstream doesn't currently have native push to talk controls, we recommend using MicMute in order to set up system level push to talk. To set up MicMute you'll want to first download and install the program from here. Once installed, run the program and open it by double-clicking the icon in your system tray.   • How do I customize my text layer?
    All the customization for your text layers can be found in the properties bar when selecting a text layer. Here you can find customization for the size, outline, style, alignment, and marquee.Few readers

  • How do I set up a Slideshow?
    To add an image slideshow to your stream, you'll want to hit the green "Add Layer" button on the left side of the editor, select "Image Slideshow" from the list of layer types.   • How do I crop my layers?
    To crop one of your layers, you'll want to first select the layer. Once you've done this, you should see a property bar appear above the layer on your canvas. Clicking the leftmost icon on this bar will allow you to crop your layer to your desired dimensions. Once you've adjusted your dimensions you'll see the option to to save your crop, undo your current crop, or reset your layerFew readers
  • How do I unpause my previews?
    While live, simply click the "Unpause Source Previews" button at the bottom right of your canvas to resume all paused previews. Lightstream pauses previews by default in order to save system resourcesFew readers
  • How do I access my Lightstream account?
    Your Lightstream account can be accessed by signing in with any of the supported platform accounts that are linked to it. At the moment, Lightstream does not offer accounts without signing in with a supported platform.Few readers
  • How do I change the privacy of my broadcast?
    Lightstream currently offers privacy options for Facebook and YouTube streams. You can change what privacy your broadcast will display at inside of the Stream Settings pane in the top right.Few readers
  • How do I create a new project?
    To create a new project, click on the Lightstream logo in the top left corner of the website and then click on the "New" button in the “My Projects” section, then you can select the type of project you’d like to create.Few readers
  • Does Lightstream support IP Cameras or Mevo?
    Unfortunately at the moment Lightstream does not support any type of IP Camera. If you'd like to see this functionality added in the future send a message our way!   • Am I able to rename my scenes?
    To rename your scenes, simply click on the name of your scene (ex. "Scene 2") and type out what you want your scene renamed to.Few readers

    To hide a layer, click on three dots next to the layer to expand the additional options menu, and then select "Hide".Few readers
