All information in this guide is to be used for setting up RTMP Sources inside of Lightstream Studio.

Creating your RTMP Source

The first thing you need to do before bringing in your content from Streamlabs Desktop, is create an RTMP Source layer in your Studio project then add the layer to your scene, and finally copy your stream key for use further down below.

Setting up Streamlabs Desktop

Here are the settings we recommend for sending your broadcast to an RTMP Source:

Stream Type: Custom Streaming Server
URL:  rtmp://
Stream key: Your personal key found on the RTMP Source

Resolution : You will want this to match the resolution of your RTMP Source layer inside of your project
Bitrate : Will be dependent on the content being sent but we recommend 3000-3500 for a 720p broadcast.

Going live to your RTMP Source

Once you’re all set up, hit Go Live in Streamlabs Desktop, which will then send your content to your RTMP Source. Now, simply go live to your streaming destination using the Go Live button in the top right.
